Isn't this kind of an unlock for Rekkles, Fnatic has adapted to a jungle carry style and Rekkles was enabling that for Selfmade a lot. Now in G2 he might be able to also pick up the primary carry role or enable even better for Caps. He would also get a support who is more consistent than Hilysang. I'm also sad to see him go from Fnatic, but I just hope that Rekkles has a good time in G2 and still stays the player we love. Perkz was a very good player, but I don't think they lose a lot by taking in Rekkles.

Rekkles has never been a shotcaller nor the leader of FNC. I don't know where you get that from when he himself has said that he likes to remain silent during games to play better, and in every voice comms you literally hear nothing from him. G2 is missing a shotcaller now and someone has to step up. If Rekkles didn't do it for 5 years on FNC, he won't suddenly become a shot caller on G2. I think is more likely that Caps becomes the leader, not because he wants, but because he has to.

Insightful video, but I disagree with his "oil and water" reference between Rekkles and G2. Rekkles and Caps were both on FNC for a long time and were very successful. Caps is very serious when it comes to winning, and I think Rekkles's want to win will make him a great match for this team.

It's also in g2's interest to make sure Rekkles fits well in the team.

It could end being opposite as a perfect fit. G2 often didn't take it as serious even in important games. Perhaps with Rekkles they'll be more focused and play even better and more consistent :)

Maybe the seriousness of Rekkles is exactly what g2 needs. The team being trolly enough not to get burned out, but focussed enough to consistently keep improving and not having to catch up as mutch during bootcamps. 😄 I can see it work.

I really feel like you are missing out on the point, that the rivalry started with ocelote being the one founding Gamerz2, while xPeke was in Fnatic. Which is why the rivalry started. Obviously it grew, as these two teams are the ones who won everything, but it was not only those two teams contesting number 1, even after g2 joining...

I’ve personally been concerned with how this new G2 roster is gonna interact. Thanks for brining that up on the last part. Perkz was definitely a fun leader to watch alongside Jankos and Caps. That whole team just has so much chemistry. Sadly, you can just feel that Perkz wasn’t happy playing ADC cause that role blows compared to midlane. It definitely takes so much energy to keep playing as reserved adc as to when he was such an explosive midlaner. As talented as perkz was he made it through finals in 2019, but he’s not a true adc. He wasn’t happy and I heard it from his voice when he said “I’m tired of playing too” vs FNC Summer Split Finals(G2 Voicecomms). I might be speculating a lot, but it does make sense now that he’s no longer in black and white. I’m excited with how Rekkless will interact with G2. I hope he transitions in nicely and just learn that G2 has a lot of organized chaos going on. Can’t wait till Spring.
