Thank you so much for this. I missed a lot of his career (and boxing in general) due to being away so much and not having access to TV on the regular. I especially enjoy the sportsmanship...that ages better than controversial trash talking that supposedly generates more money. Respect goes a long way in combat sports.

He was a great fighter and a wonderful human, he might have been the best post fight interview in the business, he was son honest always respectful and love the way he talked about himself progressing and growing. His most impressive victory to me has to be his destroying of James quick tillis. Mike tyson couldn't finish him and Tommy wiped him out. He was gone far too soon. He is in my top 10 favorite fighters of all time. I love his comeback wins and his left hook is ranked #2 right behind Marciano. May you rest in peace. I will always watch your fights just as much as Mike tyson or any of the other greats..what a great fighter!!

Haven't watched boxing in some time. Probably since Mr. Ray Leonard. The only time I saw Morrison was in Rocky 5. Didn't realized he became a champ. Good for him, looked like a pretty solid fighter. Too bad it ended so early.

Tommy Morrison was a heck of a fighter and one tough Cat! Met em all head on! I watched him fight on tv in the 90's a bunch. RIP Tommy. Hey, if you actually read the comments I had a friend of mine who has sadly passed away who I would feel honored if you did a story on. Brian "Bam Bam" Scott out of Kansas City, Missouri. A flawed character like Tommy to be sure, but he fought some tough fights against a couple big name fighters in his day. Just an idea if you are looking for something to do a story on.
