There is another one 316ti with the N40. My father owns one, and it's solid car. Now, it has payload of 525kg on the boot, plus another 75 on the roof (with a rack of course), and maximum towing capacity of 1300kg with braked trailer. If you want, you can easily haul 2t with it. About handling: it can cruise, supercruise, carve a mountain, and if the driver has the cojones, it can do some offroading.

I've just done 5000 miles in on one of these in the last 8 months with no issues, there is the customary oil leak but it's actually great fun to drive. Lucky perhaps but now paid for itself

I had a 316ti Compact (03') plate when I was 21. GREAT CAR! Loved the drive and a good pokey engine. Very underrated cars. Love this video! 11 years on, it's got me tempted to try and find a 325ti Compact for a nice run about :) Thanks guys

Got a 325ti compact. No electric windows in the back tho. Absolutely love that car. Got an H&R cup kit since i needed new suspension and im gonna buy a LSD soon. Great fun to drive, learned to drift in it. Plenty of space. Its just an awesome little car.

Did you just take a detour to enjoy the drive and have more time for the video? You passed the Jane 60th sign and drove off in one direction, then at the 8:02 mark you drive past it again in the other direction. Or at least past a wall that also says 60th where Jane could be just out the frame...

I've the same ( engine and color) since 4 years and i really like it, comfortable, silent. The main problems i got was on electronical devices, sensors are the dark point on bmw.

I love my e46 compact, mine has a sunroof, front and rear electric windows plus full leather. Best £180 I spent, it’s going to be a drift project. I just finished a manual conversion on it. Honestly underrated little gems
